School Funding

Written Statement: Review of School Funding Formula in Wales
Review of the school funding formula in Wales – Summary of the findings from the school funding formula review and recommendations.

Updated – Curriculum for Wales

Changes include:
– updates to the Languages, Literacy and Communication;
– updates to the Introduction and Summary of Legislation to better link personalised assessments with progression and assessment and to clarify legislative changes relating to personalised assessments from September;
– other minor changes will be completed during February 2025.

Emergency planning and response guidance for education and childcare settings (January 2025)

School Governors Guide to the Law

Welsh Government has published a new chapter in the Guide to the Law – Chapter 29 Cymraeg 2025, which includes information on:
– the Welsh Government’s strategy for the Welsh language, Cymraeg 2050: A Million Welsh Speakers;
– Welsh in Education Strategic Plans;
– school categories according to Welsh medium provision; and
– Welsh in the Curriculum for Wales.
