Shaping the future of your school: Governors for Schools is here to help

Does your school need to fill outstanding or upcoming governor vacancies? Are you looking for volunteers with a variety of skill sets to help drive strategic change? Learn how Governors for Schools could support you at their free information session on Tuesday, 21st March from 4-5pm via Zoom.

Since launching the service in Wales in November 2020, Governors for Schools has placed an impressive 160 volunteers in schools across Wales. The charity works with a wide array of employers and partners to encourage their employees to sign up to become governors. They are also committed to diversity with 14% of the governors placed in Wales from ethnic minority backgrounds, and 44% being under the age of 45.

The service is free of charge. Being fully funded, the charity provides the link between skilled and committed individuals wishing to become school governors and schools needing to fill vacancies.

The webinar will explore how Governors for Schools free service works, how they recruit potential governors, and the free training available to help support volunteers once they’re in their new role. The session will also cover how the charity works with a wide array of employers and partners to encourage their employees to sign up to become governors and the tailored support they can offer to your school.

To sign up, please register your place here. The webinar will be recorded and circulated to all registrants afterwards.
